Its historical development as a private health institution Poliklinika Medikol started in 1994 in Čakovec. After its reorganization in 2000, it began to operate in Zagreb, in the Dobra dol, as a Clinic for Radiological Diagnostics.
In mid-2005, it changed its headquarters and has since been operating in the center of Zagreb, at a location in Voćarska 106 as a Clinic for Radiology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology and Venereology, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Physical Therapy, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Orthopedics urology, nuclear medicine, cytology, anesthesiology, reanimatology and intensive care with the medical – biochemical laboratory. It has an area of approximately 1500 m2, on two floors, with a modern interior adapted to polyvalent activity and road access and parking.
In 2007, the Medikol Clinic, the first in Croatia, opens a PET / CT Center for the diagnosis of tumors of this type in Croatia, in Zagreb, at Vinogradska 29, which is also its first Branch. Since then, three more PET / CT centers (Split, Rijeka, Osijek) and two branches (Zagreb – Mandlova and Čakovec) have been opened.
Quality medical services, modern technology, discretion, and patient care are the basic features of the work, in order to ensure the health, satisfaction and psycho-physical well-being of the patient. Medical and administrative activities are fully computerized. A high level of professional education of health professionals is a prerequisite for quality and comprehensive health care for patients.
Medikol Polyclinic since 2008 has introduced ISO 9001 and 14001 systems for all health services, which it provides through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in all healthcare activities in all locations and in accordance with the strict requirements of the standards, which are confirmed by regular periodic and recertification audits of by DNV GL. At the last recertification audit conducted in January 2018, the Quality and Environmental Systems of the Medikol Clinic is in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015
